Welcome to Space Service International!

The company was registered with the Mittweida trade office on May 1, 1990. The space museum was added in 1992. The owner, Dipl.- Ök. Tasillo Römisch, has been involved in space travel since 1969 as a collector, historian, editor, astronaut manager, consultant and exhibition organizer.

There are now almost 500 press articles about him, more than 70 television appearances and even a documentary film “The man who was never in space” (Rotzfrech Cinema, 2023 and ARD 2024)

At the beginning of 2025, he had organized 152 exhibitions (some as side shows) in 14 countries with over 20 million visitors. Outstanding among these were those in Berlin, Peenemünde, Hamburg, Leipzig, Bucharest, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Paris, Lisbon and Valencia.

With well over 2,700 presentations, lectures and keynote speeches, he has reached a huge audience. And in German and English.

He was first listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1990 with his scratch-built rocket models. Later, he was also noted for the largest private space collection with almost 100,000 objects today.

In 2024, Tasillo “Tassi” Römisch was awarded the European Space Prize “Silver Meridian” for his life's work by the magazine “Raumfahrt Concret” in Neubrandenburg. In the same year, he received the silver badge of honor from the city of Mittweida.
